Mr. McCoy is currently the Acting Artemis Chief Health & Performance Officer for the Human Health and Performance Directorate at JSC.   He is also the Lunar Dust Risk Custodian, and manages the health assessment risk assessment/posture in regard to lunar dust.  A toxicologist by training, Mr. McCoy attended Texas A&M University and Clemson University with degrees in Environmental Toxicology.  He has worked at NASA since 2003, and served as the Branch Chief for the Environmental Sciences area for many years.  Prior to coming to NASA, Mr. McCoy served for almost a decade as a leader within the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. He and his wife are blessed with two children, and are enjoying the new challenges of life as empty nesters!
