Natalie Heidzig

Corporal Heidzig is a 7-year veteran of the Prince George’s County Police Department.  She is currently assigned to the Special Operations Division, Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit since January 2016.  As a patrol officer, Corporal Heidzig personally investigated over 100 motor vehicle collisions.  While in Collision Analysis and Reconstruction, Corporal Natalie Heidzig has performed duties as a lead investigator for more than 18 fatal collisions and has assisted in more than 40 additional investigations.  The reconstructions of fatal collisions have included vehicle speed calculations, vehicle inspections, lamp examinations, pre and post impact vehicle dynamic analysis, occupant kinematics, crush analysis, CDR analysis, witness interviews, and determinations of causative factors.  The Reconstructions have involved automobiles, pickup trucks, vans, motorcycles, and pedestrians.  Corporal Heidzig teaches Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, DWI Training with the Prince George’s County Police Academy Recruits.  Corporal Heidzig also assists Maryland Police Training Facility in College Park with Live Workshops for Prosecutors and Law Enforcement Officers teaching

Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, DWI Training, partnered with Maryland Highway Safety Organization.  She has her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with two Minors in Sociology and Information Assurance in the Criminal Justice System from Pace University, New York.
