Rachel Ferris, an Army veteran, and Industrial Hygienist in Code 360 at Goddard-Greenbelt has been the Center Asbestos Program Manager since November 2023. She graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology with a focus on Bioinformatics. She is a state of Maryland licensed Asbestos Inspector and Supervisor, Lead Inspector and is pursuing CIH. Her professional experience includes providing consultation and regulated training programs for Asbestos and Lead Abatement Projects, co-managing the Goddard Respiratory Protection Program and Hearing Conservation Program, providing consultation on topics such as indoor air quality, oxygen deficiency hazard, laboratory safety, job hazard analysis review, ergonomic hazards and confined space hazard.
