Safety Division (Code 360)

The Safety Division is responsible for overall management and implementation of occupational safety & health and flight mission systems safety functions. Safety and occupational health encompasses planning, development, and management of policies and procedures for the protection of personnel, property, and the public from hazards generated by processes and operations at Goddard. These programs include but are not limited to: Mishap Prevention, Electrical Safety, Radiation Protection, Fire Protection, and Industrial Hygiene. Provides Systems Safety Support for personnel and hardware associated with Missions and Flight Projects at GSFC's Greenbelt, MD site. System Safety engineers work to create a successful mission by ensuring that all personnel, hardware, and equipment are safe.
