Olu Ajakaiye is an Industrial Hygienist under code 360 at NASA GSFC. Olu has his Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology, after which he completed his Master’s degree in Environmental Biology at the Missouri University of Science and Technology, Rolla, MO. It was there that he developed his passion for the Environment, with a focus on topics such as Noise and Air pollution, Hazardous waste management, risk perception, assessment and management, Environmental regulation and legislation, amongst others.

After graduating College, he worked for the Depart of Defense at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas as an Environmental Health Specialist for a couple of years before making the big move to the East coast to take up a new position as a Public Health Specialist with the US Air Force in Baltimore, MD. HE worked there for more than a year before his dream career came calling to work as an Industrial Hygienist at NASA GSFC, where he has been for three years.

Olu is an active Reservist in the US Air Force, working part time as a Public Health Specialist. Olu is a regular volunteer at the United Service Organization (USO) at BWI Airport where he supports our nation’s military and their families as they defend our country and its freedoms.

Olu’s ultimate goal is to keep working hard and someday get certified as an Industrial Hygienist, using his drive and untiring commitment to protect the health and safety of people in the workplace and the community.
